Ecole Doctorale Sciences et Ingénierie
Doctorate School of Sciences and Engineering

EDSI is a Doctorate School of Science and Engineering (Ecole Doctorale Sciences et Ingénierie – EDSI), and its co-accredited institutions are Université d’Evry Val d’Essonne and Télecom Sud Paris (a French engineering school).

EDSI is multidisciplinary, focused on fundamental and applied sciences (mathematics, chemistry, computer science, physics and engineering sciences).

During their thesis, doctoral students tackle scientific questions such as materials science, mathematical science, computer science, communication or robotics. They acquire knowledge in various domains and open their minds to many related topics.

The EDSI Doctorate School welcomes about 130 doctoral students within the Evry University and TSP laboratories, which are supported by recognized public and private organisms: DGESIP (General administration for higher education and professional integration), CNRS (National Center of Scientific Research) and CEA (Atomic Energy and Alternative Energies Commission).

Fields of research in EDSI:

  • Information and Communication Technology (ICT)
  • Mathematics and interactions
  • Mechanics
  • Physics and Chemistry
  • Engineering sciences

EDSI enables doctoral students to benefit from a stimulating environment and adequate resources for their work. The EDSI proposes doctoral studies organized around lectures and seminars.
